Twenty-five years ago, I was in New York, and my agency @fordmodels received a fax (the young ones can google it) from my Australian agents asking if I would return to Australia; @cairnscentral shopping centre was about to open, and they wanted to book me to shoot the launch campaign. By that point, I was exhausted, homesick and desperately missed my family, so I said yes and got on the first flight home, and that would be the last time I modelled professionally. Fast forward 25 years, and when Cairns Central asked if I would be part of their 25th-anniversary campaign, I hesitated but eventually said yes. I've been so fortunate that this year has been full of full-circle moments, but this campaign holds a special place in my heart. It was my last campaign and the first post-retirement campaign I booked. I know the ancestors are guiding this, but I'm forever grateful to all of you deadly ones who are making these things possible and cheering me on.
