I became an influencer (hate this word) in 2009 before it was even a word. I was 1 of the 1st fitness bloggers in the 🇺🇸. I got my start blogging abt Fitness Fashion & Trends using the pen name Mizzfit. Everyone who knew me thought I was 🥜. Did I really think I was going to make a career out of blogging? In my defense, I’m an Aquarius ♒️ i.e. I could give a F abt what others think. I make my own rules and always speak my mind! But I also really 💗 people—and the community I’ve built here. I really like 🐕‘s too, esp @fridadoggy who convinced me & @josephnewyork to get engaged—finally—after 8+ years! Here are #10Facts abt me. Maybe useless, maybe not... 🤷🏻‍♀️ 1️⃣I almost died at 3 when I fell off the ledge into a pool during a toddler swimming class and the teacher didn’t notice. I remember “seeing the light” and then being yanked by the hair back out. 2️⃣I don’t like 🍅 - have u seen their insides!?️ 3️⃣ @nike put me on the map when they discovered me and invited me to speak @ their company event. Soon after, I was booked for the Today Show and yes...I was making 💰 from blogging! 4️⃣ I’m Latina NOT Italian. My family is from Honduras. Catracha! 5️⃣I 💗 to work out. It’s my greatest passion and I exercise for 1-2 hrs/day ever since I was 15! 6️⃣I’ve lived in NY for over 20-yrs, which means at this point I love it more than I hate it. 7️⃣Diversity is VERY important 2 me. I live by the saying that if you look at your friends and they all look exactly like you, well then Houston, you’ve got a problem! 8️⃣My company is Mizzfit (like my blog) and it’s a multi-media production house. I’m a director, editor, creative director, brand consultant and multi-media specialist. 9️⃣I’m most proud of being a TV Host of all the things I do. I 💗 being on camera. It just comes naturally. 🔟A lot of people call me a socialite but personally I think of myself as a do-er. I love going places, meeting people and having experiences that I can come back and share w/ u...whether it’s here or FB, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest or Mizzfit.com. 🫶
