Happy Diwali 🪔 Zan (Women). Zendeghi (Life). Azadi (Freedom) 🇮🇷🙌 DIWALI - Celebration of LIGHT ✨🌙 With the New Moon & Eclipse also on this day - we are ready for a great shift, for LIGHT to prevail in many countries (#FreedomforIran ) & for many religions. As a female Iranian Jew with an Indian soul - I am feeling so much, between the revolution, to the rise of antisemitism, and grateful for the flickering flame of FAITH reminding me we are on the brink of a great RENEWAL! As we celebrate the light of awareness, may our awareness continue to expand, may remember our Oneness! In the words of @deepakchopra, “Diwali is an occasion to wake up from our social conditioned mind, to spread the light of awareness for a more peaceful and joyful world.” Looking back on the first day of this year - January 1st 2022 - as I danced into the sunrise... 🌅 Unapologetically being ME, letting the music move me, letting my body be an expression of the deep gratitude, joy, happiness + freedom I was feeling - and not allowing the fear of judgment or how I would be perceived by others to hijack this blissful moment. I knew I was absolutely blessed...What I didnt realize was what a freedom it was, to simply let my hair flow in the wind, to let my skin be out and not covered and to move and do however I felt. Fast forward and here we are October 2022, amidst a REVOLUTION for basic human rights for my sisters of IRAN. As you can see in a short clip as they fearlessly dance and throw their Hijab (head covering) in the fire, they are saying enough is enough - and the world is echoing it out louder. When Eduardo started playing this Puja song on his DJ set I immediately picked up a candle from the walkway and did my own Arati to the SUN, witnessing as she rose up out of the waters, I prayed to my Guru and the Guru within me - to continue to dispel darkness and for light to prevail. As I bowed to the candle/sun - I bowed knowing that all is happening for the highest good, honoring the flame also known to symbolize our spirit - I bowed in deep surrender and gratitude 🙏🏼 So let us light & raise our candles up on this Diwali day for more LIGHT to Prevail🙏🏼🪔🕯️ #diwali #mahsaamini
