With so much happening with recent storms sweeping across California, we’d like to take a moment to acknowledge National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. State Parks is grateful to have a dedicated team of individuals who work as State Park Peace Officers (Rangers and Lifeguards). These professionals protect the state’s natural and cultural resources and work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to share information and maintain safety across the state park system and surrounding communities. Today our Santa Cruz District officers took part in a swift water rescue, helping residents escape flood waters at their homes in the town of Felton. Thank you for all the hard work that you do.
