Muslims in real life vs Muslims on TV... new research from @inclusionists shows that TV still paints a narrow picture. - Muslims make up 25% of the world’s population, but were only 1% of characters in popular television series. - Over 30% of the characters evaluated were perpetrators of violence & nearly 40% were targets of violence. - 52% of Muslim characters on television were Middle Eastern/North African, even though that region is home to only 20% of the world’s Muslim population.
