I’m proud to be partnering with @instagram in This Is Me: Gen Queer, a campaign spotlighting emerging LGBTQIA+ creators across the UK. In times pain and struggle, creating worlds we haven’t experienced before can unlock doors filled with light, love and community <3 How can we create change unless we imagine it first? I’ve always found creating art as my way of escaping the pains of being South Asian and trans in this country, whether it be transforming my bedroom while my parents slept, creating stages for thousands or sharing my voice on Instagram with my community. Being a PoC and queer, I’m so grateful I have a space like @instagram to create and share my catharcism so freely. The way in which I have been able to meet, collaborate and form bonds with my community through connecting on Instagram has truly been life-saving I don’t think I would be here today without it <3 Image by @kyle__crooks #ThisisMeGenQueer
