The Mars Volta concluded their comeback tour last night after three sold out shows at The Hollywood Palladium. Their music has always meant so much to me - they transformed everything I thought about music when I first heard them in college. 13 years ago, I saw The Mars Volta at Roseland Ballroom during the worst time period of my life. That show revitalized me, and helped me get past those first stages of grief that tend to linger for so long. I almost didn’t go, but my good friend @bobbie_dj_ didn’t let me miss it and I am eternally grateful. Seeing them again a few weeks ago, during the happiest time of my life, the day after I married the love of my life @kathymckathetor was an out of body experience I really can’t put into words. Last week we flew to San Francisco for one more chance to see the show, and this time, I was able to bring my camera along. This new album and the memories from this tour cycle will be cherished forever.
