Orange decorations šŸŠ Who doesn’t love them? I’ve been making these for years and there’s a few things I do to make them bake quickly and come out perfectly every single time! •Slice as thinly as possible (make sure your knife is sharp!) • Use a cloth to soak up the moisture of the oranges • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 110C and then turn low to 90C for a further 1 hour 20 minutes (turn them as they’re in the oven) • Start checking your oranges as the smallest will be dry, the larger ones will take up to another 30mins. I take mine out before they are completely dry as they’ll carry on drying whilst hung. It’s always be better to be under rather than over on your cooking time. a good indicator is to take them out when you can see the light shining through the orange. • If you have a few bigger ones that are still not ready you can also finish them off in an airing cupboard or by a radiator Another tip is if they start curling, place a heavy bottomed pan over them whilst they are still hot to straighten them I’m also making star tags out of the orange ends this year! That’s all I do! And they are my main decoration throughout Christmas! I put them on everything, the tree, garlands, wreathes, presents šŸŽ and they tie everything together so nicely ā™„ļø Are you going to try them? šŸŠ #myplasticfreehome #diydecoration #diychirstmas #driedoranges #ecochristmas #christmascrafts #christmasloading #oranges #diyornaments #naturaldecorations #sustainablechristmas
