Tag those you love for no reason 🤍⁣ ⁣⁣ Statements like the above are challenging to understand because of how interchangeably we use ‘love’ and ‘relationships’ – the former a boundless energy and the latter a dynamic consisting of individuals with boundaries. But essentially, love is the essence of our true nature. Everything that surrounds us is an expression of that highest form of love.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ You may have come across the statement, “love is a verb.” This phrase depicts how we as human beings can experience the eternal nature of love tangibly. When there’s love behind what we do, our actions are an offering, selfless and evolutionary. Love is a creative force that builds and heals without seeking, because that is its very nature. Love gives and accepts without expectations, costs and obligations.⁣ ⁣ However, I also believe love is beyond active thinking, reasoning and intellect. Where there is thought, there are the ego’s justifications, doubts, judgements and expectations. The ego often requires an exchange to feel secure about its identity. Perhaps this is a kind of repayment plan or condition. It frequently looks like, “I will love you if...” or “I will only love you when you behave like this.” True love is boundless, but the ego has limitations. It often manifests as, “I’ll do this for you..., but I will hold back... [because I’m afraid of getting hurt].”⁣⁣ ⁣ That’s why many find it difficult to love when thoughts are present in their mind: they are thinking about themselves in the process of delivering love. They are seeking to gain, whereas unconditional love gives from the heart. The purest form of love is in those moments where you simply love others for who they are, not what they do or can do for you.
