When the lockdown first happened I was in the middle of a creative depression. I was losing that curious spark that motivated me to express myself artistically, and had no desire to touch a camera. One day, while gazing at the 4 walls of my room I came up with a challenge that would push me to produce again. What if I could create a fashion ad entirely from home with little to no set up? It was completely possible, but what would that look like coming from me? _ I’ve always loved the content @nike produces and I wanted to embody the brand’s voice, but add my own signature as well. So, I took my custom air max sneakers and designed a project with these 3 specific parameters. _ 1. No big set ups or fancy gear. 2. It needs to feel nostalgic. 3. Every shot in the final cut needs to have a motion graphics element. These parameters were enough to get me curious and develop an ad I felt was reminiscent to a 90’s MTV hip-hop era. You’d be surprised just HOW MUCH you can do with so little. _ It took weeks of experimenting trying to figure out the tone, but I’m so happy with the short and sweet results.
