Morning after show day and I’m ⬆️ 1.5lbs after eating a little bit last night and hydrating last night! We are back on my low macros and 90 minutes of cardio to keep things tight and to tighten up just a bit more before heading to San Diego for @musclecontest Pacific USAs where I’ll be working to defend my title 🥹🙌🏽💃🏽 . . Last night I enjoyed a few bites to eat from Cheesecake Factory. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and the egg roll sampler and while I was excited to eat, I was being extremely mindful of my goals ahead. I ate the lettuce wraps and took a bite out of each egg roll. Then I grabbed some fruit, sorbet, and yogurt at the grocery store to satisfy the sweet cravings I had, took a few bites out of those and called it a night. Woke up this morning to coach @jamidebernard game plan for the next few weeks and when I saw that we are back on our lower macros and cardio I was pumped!! I’m ready to make the improvements needed to bring the best physique to the next show. What’s crazy is how much my mindset towards the process has changed from my previous preps. I’d usually go HAM after the show with sweets and all the foods, and even carry on into Sunday morning with breakfast and a few untracked snacks and then get back in plan Monday. However this time around I’m working to set a better example not just for myself, but for my clients, and other competitors who watch my journey. While it’s amazing to enjoy the fun foods post show, I’ve realized over time that the inflammation, digestive issues, and bleh feeling afterwards just wasn’t worth it. I woke up refreshed, tummy feeling amazing and hungry to improve! . . Funny story: once we got off stage there were brownies, cookies and pizza waiting for the competitors to feast on, I went up and grabbed a brownie to get pictures for the staff backstage hosting the feast and took a bite and said meh and trashed it. Ever since I’ve been paying attention to the effects of sugar and things that spike blood glucose, I’ve been turned off by the extras that I know could adversely effect not just my physique but my internal health. This is a huge win for me y’all 🥹🙌🏽 . . . More in the comments on coaching 🤗
