My first 📀 plaque!
I learned so much through working with @therealkano + Rich @beet_dis that I’m eternally grateful for. Invaluable lessons in this crazy industry (+life!) about attention to detail, knowing your worth, saying no, overdelivering for your audience, putting on compelling live shows and really what a long career in music could look like.

Short history of our work together:
Kano came to Butterz @ Fabric in Aug 2014 as a surprise guest to shoot a video for Flow Of The Year with JME for SBTV
We invited him back to do a full set in Jan 2015, where he performed his Grime classics for the first time like Ice Rink, Ghetto Kyote and Get Set.
We recorded a conversation about his journey shortly after, and announced a 5 night in a row club tour promoted and produced by Skilliam & I, in Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, Bristol and Sheffield.
The first night in Leeds we played Man Don’t Care and he went mad and pulled it up, his first time hearing it, it had only been out a couple of weeks. That led to him connecting with Swifta to make Three Wheel Ups, hence the Butterz shout out 🫡
I DJ’d for a lot of the concert shows since then from Troxy (where Dave was the opening act!) to Brixton Academy, across the country and play some cool one offs like the Newham Leisure Centre Show just before everything closed in 2020.
A real pleasure to have seen Made In The Manor and Hoodies All Summer really cement his legacy as one of the goats.
Thank you Kano, Rich + full crew that worked on this record and the tours. Legendary.
