It's unfortunate that I actually didn't hear this song in my childhood, I heard in my late teens and it was also a cover by Nescafe Basement and it holds a huge influence in this arrangement. Nazia Hassan was a fierce leo who changed the face of pop music in Pakistan and she holds a dear place in my heart. I can't believe she passed away at 35-- I wonder what she would have made today or thought of this. I've also been deeply insecure (ironically) about singing Urdu and doubting my instincts in singing my mother tongue. But, it's here. I hesitated to post this but I think it would be a shame not to.
