The first chapter of the story behind our faithful revival of an exquisite 18th century Chinese wallpaper at Belvoir Castle. Following a chance encouter with the Duchess of Rutland, we decided to embark on the ambitious project to recreate the wallpaper in the Wellington Room - a gloriously preserved example of a very early Chinese wallpaper in a wonderfully unique colour palette.
