I’ll be honest... Today was a hard day. As someone who wants to please everyone, it’s very difficult for me to set boundaries in my business. Especially knowing that setting those boundaries- means that someone is going to be upset. As a business owner, it’s hard to set the boundaries, but it’s also hard not to have them. Part of my role is doing what’s best for my clients but also doing what’s best for my business. And some days I think maybe I’m not cut out for this, but then I remember all of the good clients. The ones who feel like themselves again when they get their hair done, the ones who never knew they could love their hair so much, the ones who finally see the beauty we see. So even on days like today, where doing this business is really hard, I am still grateful for those clients. I’m grateful that I have people who remind me why I do this. I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to continue my education in this industry, and educate others in the process. I’m grateful that I get to be the me that younger me needed.
