My sweet friend Greg Hignight was the kindest soul, he dedicated and poured his heart into bringing everyone together in celebration of the music, art, films, pop culture that he loved so much. With Tune in Tokyo, Greg Greg was so integral to creating a hub, community and scene where everyone felt welcome. Greg was like family to me, especially these past years, I’m so grateful to know him. Always so kind in supporting Polartropica, believing in us, being protective but also always encouraging us to keep going. We were supposed to DJ together w/ your awesome @tuneintokyoevents fam tonight at SWITCH night @qtnightlife but as I’m looking at the cotton candy pink sunset clouds outside, I know you’re spinning all the coolest Jpop, Kpop and dance jams up in heaven. Thank you for always encouraging me to protect my art and learn new skills. We had just finished a long music video shoot day for the new track you loved and I was so excited to call to catch up with you about it when I got a message from Stephanie ❤️‍🩹 I felt like the air got punched out of my chest, and I still can barely believe you’re gone. When I was nervous one of our newer tracks might be a bit too crazy, u told us the coolest part about pop music is how unapologetic the really good stuff is 🔥and to just go for it.
