Yuri is proud to be chosen as a mentor for this year’s Lexus Design Award. The international awards are open to Professional, amateur and student designers from any country or region in the world. Last year, creators from 57 countries and regions submitted design proposals, many of which leveraged the power of technology to design for a better tomorrow. The submissions spanned Industrial Design, Architecture, Technology/Engineering, Interior Design and Fashion Design. The Award seeks designs which show potential to contribute to society, and 2023’s theme is ‘How design can enhance the happiness of everyone’. Judges are MoMA's @paolantonelli, designer @karim_rashid_official and Head of Toyota & Lexus Global Design, Simon Humphries. Yuri is joined by fellow mentors, solar designer Marjan van Aubel, designer @joedoucet_ and architect @sumi_v. Under their mentorship, the four winning talents will receive support and guidance as they bring their design concepts to life. The winners will also receive a design grant of up to 3 million JPY each for prototype production costs and other expenses involved in refining their concept and design.
