Get in the FALL spirit with this yummy Caramel Apple Bark. Full recipe below đđź
đCaramel Apple Bark
â¨12 oz bag milk or dark chocolate chips, melted with 1 t tablespoon coconut oil
â¨2 cups pretzels, crushed
â¨1/4-1/2 cup caramel, melted (actual caramels that are melted down will set up quicker than regular caramel sauce)
â¨1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle
â¨2 green apples, diced
TIP Soak the apples in a bit of lemon juice to prevent them from browning
-Instructions-
â¨Pour the chocolate chips into a glass bowl with some coconut oil (this helps it melt smoothly). Microwave them in 30-second intervals, stirring in between each interval until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
â¨Line a cookie sheet (I used a 9X13 pan) with parchment paper. Pour the melted chocolate over the paper and use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate evenly on the sheet pan. Donât make it too thick or it wonât harden.
â¨Add the crushed pretzels to the melted chocolate, then the diced apples on top of the pretzels. Drizzle the apples with melted caramel and melted chocolate.
â¨Refrigerate for at least an hour before cutting. You can even add to the freezer if you want the bark to be a little harder
â¨Be sure and eat the bark within about 24 hours or the pretzels start to get soggy. Keep in freezer until ready to eat
â¨I did test this recipe and kept it in the freezer for 4 days and it was still yummy on the 4th ray.
