Moving Pictures series - Blue Tit. 29 x 14cm handmade automaton, carved by hand and painted in oils. On a side note that no one will believe - I first tried taking this video in my garden on an easel with a coloured sheet, but the video wasn’t great so I left my camera set and popped in to be with the children whilst I waited on the English ‘light’ to arrive. Whilst inside I happened to look out and saw, I shit you not, an actual blue tit on my camera tripod and then, to further hammer home the situation it hopped onto the automaton itself.
