I took every picture and video that makes me want to edit or forget forever and I put it in this reel. It’s MY reminder, but I hope you can borrow it as well, to remind you how ridiculously beautiful you are through it ALL. Your tears are so beautiful. You’re scars are so damn beautiful. Your smile that comes from a defiance to not go numb through it all. Your rest is beautiful. Your vulnerability is beautiful. I don’t want to forget that, but I will. When society plasters “perfect” images of airbrushed bodies, or social media shows me that being “Strong” comes with a push to DO MORE, and rest less. When I resist the Grace and mercy my Good Father offers but start striving instead. I KNOW I WILL FORGET. So, maybe this will remind us. A reel full of tears, black fingernails, scars, pain, surgeries upon surgeries, operating table, it SHOULD be a post about loss and sadness, BUT THIS IS NOT. Because the pain and tears has made me NOT take ANY of the joy for granted. I forgot about the beauty tucked into these moments. I forgot about the joy that snuck it’s way in there too. I forgot, but I hope this can help us both remember. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Every SINGLE PART. Don’t forget. And if we do, let’s remind each other. Over and over again. I love you. I deeply mean it. ❤️
