One of my favorite frames from Dear Mama... So much is said within the frame. Unfortunately it made it to the cutting room floor. We shot on the ARRI Alexa Mini LF on Canon K35s (thanks @nienhuiscamera ). I rated the camera at 3200 ISO. Winter, our fearless director said to me during a lens test, “This looks too clean” and those were the words I needed to hear to make the bold choice of shooting at such a high ISO. That being said, I tested and fell in love with the results. The LUT was based off of a Fuji film LUT I love and Rec.709 (except I pulled back on the highlights and shadows). I pushed the highlights a bit to a warm/sepia tone. The natural light did a lot of heavy lifting here but we had a litemat 4 keying our lead.
