😱Did you know that glue rings have a dark side?! 🧪We all know how quickly the lash industry changes, whether it’s changes to products, education or just the advice we’re given, things can change by the minute!💁‍♀️ BUT, we’re all creatures of habit at heart, aren’t we?🫶 ✨10 years ago it was the norm to use glue rings, and we were all none the wiser of the potential risks!😓 However, with the knowledge we have now, it is now recommended that lash technicians stay clear of glue rings for the safety of both themselves and their clients!☝️ 🤎Disclaimer: Of course glue rings are not ‘illegal’, if they work for you of course use them! Just make sure you and your client are kept safe and healthy at all times!🥰 💫Dispensing too much glue AND sucking in air! When air is sucked into your glue nozzle, it causes the glue to begin polymerising, which can affect your retention! Instead, let gravity do the work ⭐️Gets in the way of tweezers. Of course if you do use a glue ring it’s likely that you’ll find the spot that’s comfortable for you, HOWEVER, why would you struggle when you could simply be comfortable? 🔥Difficult to dip the extensions properly - a glue ring reduces your visibility so you could end up dipping your extensions in too far, or you might even pick up too much adhesive. ⚡️Danger of spilling on you or your client. This barely needs expanding upon - glue in the hair is never a fun time. 🌟Fumes are closer to your airways! Glue fumes in the airways don’t feel good, so the less exposure the better! Having your glue drop further away from you just means you’re not breathing in as many of the fumes. 🌍Lastly, they’re single use plastics which we’re all trying to cut down on!
