This Saturday, on September 24 Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve will be celebrating National Public Lands Day. National Public Lands Day was established in 1994 and is the nation’s largest single-day annual volunteer event for public lands which is run in collaboration with the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF); who is hosting thousands of volunteer events happening all around the country on September 24th.
