Nostalgia. The last time I was in UGU BIGYAN in Quezon was more than a decade ago. It was such a treat to do a road trip and check out these kind of places away from the maddening cityscape. Known for their beautiful trademark pottery( there’s a wide range to choose from decorative to dining), they have managed to also maintain a menu of delectable local cuisine. We had a selection of dishes such as pork, chicken, prawns in gata, a huge lapu-lapu covered in yellow mango sauce, veggies and the unforgettable paco salad which I remember from my last visit (it’s that good). Love it too that there are a lot of spots where you can just lounge and spend time with yourself. They’re like little pockets of paradise where you can take a nap, read a book or better yet do nothing. We were lucky to be the only guests for two days and spent the night over since they’ve already added accommodations.
