‘The day isn’t what it used to be’ Mulched sheet music on cotton board
80 x 108 x 5.6 cm Forming part of Breakfast a group show @sisterbystudioashby in London curated by @thatchbyamyellenbogen, this series began with a box of discarded sheet music belonging to a deceased school teacher. In his absence, these monotone landscapes resurface whats has been left unsung, registering as line-work across landscapes evocative of first light and a dawn chorus canopy. The day isn’t what it used to be, it’s gotten a bit rancid!
