wow so i guess i just dropped a song???? haha shoutout to @weareloyalties for collaborating w me on this cathartic ass track. truth be told, i really have been feeling a bit bottled up lately. if you’ve known me for a while, you know i’ve always had a million ideas & am always trying to find new ways to express myself. but after running into some uniquely tough roadblocks, i guess i lost some hope & began to stop believing in myself as much. stopped watering my ideas as much, fostering my creativity, creating new ideas but not seeing them through. ultimately just leading me to a really repressed state.. leading us to this track, bottled. bottled is really a cry for release, a catharsis—freedom from the prison of my mind. here, i use about 2 minutes & 30 seconds to explore the visceral feelings of suppression & self-sabotage & the various ways we try to escape when faced with such realities—the bottle being a metaphor both representing the issue at hand & the implemented coping mechanisms used to “solve” it. well anyway, i could go on; but i hope maybe one of you resonates with this piece of me. & if you don’t, that’s okay too because i’m just happy to release—in every sense of the word. lmk what you think :) ya know i love to stay versatile when it comes to my art! hope you loveeeee. & again, major shoutout to @weareloyalties for the collab on this. little bit of background, i’ve known @djstringer since i was 12 years old! he engineered for my mom & we met back in the days when i used to run around the house with my siblings whilst Dan would be posted up in the dining room working on a new performance track for my mom. fast forward 10+ years & my mom gives me the alleyoop & now we’re making music of our own & i’m so grateful! & i just know there’s soooooo much more where this comes from!!! soooo tag along folks haha this is just the beginning. & last but DEFINITELY not least, shoutout to @saxisfaction for the dopeeee ass cover art!!!!! thank you for making my literal dreams come trueeeee. pure vision right here!!! can’t wait to see what else we create! so grateful wow. sending all my love. okkkk vent over haha bottled out now! link in bio ♥️
