Jul: Boston College for the Reconnect AHANA Alumni Reunion 🦅(1) -Awarded the 2024 Department Citizenship Award at work for consistently delivering results and fostering collaboration 🤝 Geeked that I'm the 1 nonclinical staff member selected for this award (2) -90's R&B & me go together real bad! 🎶 SWV, Xscape, Mya, Total. A time!! (3) -Meghan's wedding in a castle on Rhode Island was beautiful💒 (4) -Celebrations for Dannielle's bday in Washington, DC 🎉 (5) Aug: Getting some sun and R&R in South Carolina 🌴(6) -Seeing the sights in Rio, Brazil 🇧🇷 Love Christ the Redeemer! Naturally one of the Wonders of the World (7-8) Sept: Started classes at Columbia Law School ⚖️ So honored to take Civil Rights classes with Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw, the expert and scholar who coined the term Intersectionality. (9) -ABC's Doing Business in Africa panel 🌍 with Dr. Jumoke Oduwole(10) Oct: Started the Business of Television & Streaming class and had incredible guest speakers like entrepreneur, model and Real Housewife of NY, Ubah 🍎 (11) -Took a cruise on Rob's yacht and saw the Statue of Liberty up close 🗽(12) -Dressed up for the BBSA/RLG Halloween Met Gala as the Liberty Bell of the Ball 🔔 (13) -Attended the Africa Business Conference and heard from the founder of Kahawa 1893 coffee, Margaret Nyamumbo ☕ (14) -The Conference after-party 🎊 was live and had a special performance from afrobeats Megastar Pheelz. (15) -Supported Dekky's launch of her Nigerian luxury accessory startup Egba Ake 👜 (16) Nov: Diwali celebrations 🪔(17) -So many holiday potlucks! Organized a cultural rice exchange 🍚 with the DEI committee. Received flowers literally and figuratively for my contributions to the department over the years 💐 (18) Dec: Usher concert!! That man is a performer!!!🕺🏾(19) -Finished all classes for my degree+ and got a picture with my law professor for Trusts and Estates! 📜 (20) 2024 was truly a year for the books with all of the lessons and blessings. All that occurred, named & unnamed, God got me through it! I recognize the fortune in family, friends & opportunities. I am so grateful!! Cheers to an abundant 2025! 🙏🏾
