Today is World Food Day, and I had the sincere and esteemed pleasure of guest hosting the @careorg + Delta Sigma Theta @dstinc1913 of Queens Alumnae World Food Day event at @york_college_cuny in Jamaica, Queens. CARE advocates from near and as far-reaching as Africa gathered today to discuss the severity of food disparity, malnutrition and hunger globally amongst women, and young girls. Globally, as many as 828 million people are facing hunger, and 2.3 million million are food insecure. Which means they lack reliable access to nutritious food. Such a blessing to be a global CARE advocate, and use my insight as a chef to help spread the word alongside this group of prestigious people today.
