Honoured to present Society of Authors chair and best-selling author @joannechocolat with the Ally of the Year Award at last nights @pinknews Awards. Joanne has been harassed, stalked, doxxed, threatened and smeared just because she extends vocal support for trans people. Publishing has a small, but obsessed, core of committed transphobes organising campaigns against Joanne amongst others. They’re trying to get her fired. This is what “silencing” looks like. A shout out too to Pink News. They were the ONLY news outlet to report on my #1 chart position. It was a first for an out trans person and no one else said a fucking thing. That’s also what “silencing” looks like. Ah well, at least I’m having a better week than Liz Truss.
