It’s Gynae Cancer Awareness Month! We’re going to take you through some of the key information everyone needs to know to be able to know their body, spot when something is wrong and go seek medical help. First stop, anatomy. We are re-sharing our reel of the internal reproductive system of women and people with gynae organs. Do you know them all? Ovaries (x2), fallopian tubes (x2), womb/uterus, cervix, vagina, and finally the vulva (the external genitalia). Knowing your body will help you know what’s normal for you, like when your periods are or what your vulva looks like, so you can spot when something changes and seek medical help. It can also help you accurately describe your symptoms to the doctor and help them know what might be going on. We have some very exciting stuff launching through this month, so keep an eye on our socials. And you can get involved too by raising funds for Eve and awareness of the five gynae cancers. You can raise money in whichever way you choose, and we have lots of ideas to help on the link in our bio (from quiz nights, to dress up or down days at work, holding a bake sale, and more!) Our gynae nurse information service, Ask Eve is here to help with advice and information about gynae health (your own or a loved ones). Any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch on [email protected] or 0808 802 0019. #GCAM #GynaeCancerAwarenessMonth #GCAM2022 #GynaeCancer #GynaeHealth #EveAppeal #TheEveAppeal #AskEve
