It was deeply healing spending Yom Kippur with over a thousand Jews — including hundreds of elders — mourning the scores of precious lives stolen by the Israeli state this year & recommitting ourselves to the fight for Palestinian liberation. To my fellow Jews: If you’re still sitting on the fence, horrified by the genocide but frozen by the fear of all you might lose should you fully abandon Zionism, I urge you to consider all you stand to gain. No ethnocratic death cult could ever hold a candle to this fierce, uncompromising, intergenerational, interracial, queer as fuck community. Only when Palestine is free will Judaism, too, be free to start rebuilding itself in the image of collective liberation.
