As part of an elaborate courtship ritual, a female manta ray lead males on a wild chase through the sea. These events between mantas are rare to witness, but if you spend enough time around these giants there is a good chance you catch a manta mating train. During the courtship the female is not actually trying to escape her pursuers. Instead, the train is a way for her to assess her suitors; she is testing the males before she makes her choice.
