I was worried about meeting up with our little Annas and Elsas... we were given the opportunity to take a final photo outside of the St. James Theatre where @frozenbroadway played its last performance March 11th.
•
I’d passed by the theatre since and was struck by how sad I became... the theatre was completely bare... usually when a show closes, the next show’s marquee,
photos, and posters go up immediately... this was a reminder our community is hurting... the cyclical nature is paused and I didn’t want to add to any sadness they might be experiencing.
•
And then I heard them... cheering, running down the sidewalk... they stopped short and said “oh no-how can we hug?” We decided we would do “booty kisses” we laughed and talked about what we miss most...
•
And then I got it... for them, it was never about the shiny marquee, snowflakes, or their names outside the stage door-It was always about the people who inhabited the building-who came together using their individual gifts to share a story.

Thank you-

•
Even after closing you are still teaching me.
•
Our theatre community extends far beyond any marquee, playbill, or building... It’s the people. Please show some love to an Arts Worker today.
•
The last photo and bow goes to their real moms... Shivani, Angela, Susan, and Angela who are raising up our next generation with all that is real and important.
•
Thank you to gems-
