finding your community - Both of us have travelled over to the UK from a completely different city and environment, and into brand new communities, jobs and experiences. Deena from the US and India from Canada, we crossed over to explore a new chapter and found it to be nothing short of life changing. India: for me, whenever I have jumped into the unknown and into my fears, it has always proven to be the most rewarding learnings and memories of my life. Due to the choice to follow my instincts and voice in my head, regardless of others’ opinions and staying the course I have been able to present myself authentically and build a community around me with those same interests. We have so many chapters in our lives and you kind of know when you are ready to take that leap, so lean into it and the people and opportunities will present themselves. You attract what you put out. Deena: Running track from a young age has brought me many things that have shaped me into the person I am today- most notably a community that I now consider family. Leaving that to come to London alone is my proudest accomplishment. It has been the most fulfilling ride and I would do it 10x over if I could. This journey continues to address and liberate my fears of the unknown, acceptance, and rejection. I’ve always known that my future held something much bigger than I can imagine, and making this move was the jump I needed to secure that.
