Hi everyone! Please take a read it’s super important for me to spread awareness about this disease before its too late ❤️ Recently I have been diagnosed with stage 2 Lipeodema. Although I’m extremely lucky to get an early diagnosis, this is going to effect my health greatly in the future. This kind of condition prevents me from losing the fat in my lower body through diet or exercise. Being someone who trains a lot at the gym, I thought I was going insane putting in so much effort into my diet & training program to see 0 results. I managed to lose weight but could never lose fat in my lower body or have visible muscle. There is only 1 way to completely get rid of lipoedema and that is through liposuction. This surgery is not covered by Medicare or private health so I’m in a position right now where I am stuck and can only work towards managing my condition so it doesn’t progressively get worse. I hope by me posting my journey on social media I can help others and educate people about this condition.
