It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of retired Federal Wildlife Canine (FWC) Rex. We're going to paws for a moment to share some reflections about this amazing working dog. 🐾 FWC Rex served his country from 2010 to 2019. The 13-year-old yellow lab lived a long and fulfilling life. He worked throughout Alaska, Western Canada, and parts of the lower 48 with distinction and honor. FWC Rex paved the way for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service wildlife detection for generations to come. FWC Rex was surrounded by family when he passed. His trip over the rainbow bridge leaves a huge hole in our family. He was a great partner and loving friend. He will be missed.
