It’s been 100+ in LA for the past few days but feels like weeks and I can’t bring myself to turn on the oven. This crunchy veggie salad/slaw is cooling, refreshing and also works for outdoor eating as it doesn’t contain mayo. I love mayo but not right now. Recipe👇🏼⁣ ⁣ Ingredients:⁣ • 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar⁣ • 2 tbsp. EVOO⁣ • 2-3 tbsp. tamari⁣ • 2 tbsp. honey⁣ • 2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil⁣ • kosher salt, to taste⁣ • freshly cracked black pepper, to taste ⁣ • 7 cups shredded green cabbage (about 1 small head)⁣ • 6-7 thinly sliced Persian cucumbers (I did this on a mandoline)⁣ • 4-5 green onions, thinly sliced ⁣ ⁣ Directions:⁣ • to a large bowl add the vinegar, EVOO, tamari, honey, sesame oil and a large pinch of salt and pepper⁣ • whisk together ⁣ • add in the cabbage, cucumbers and green onions. Toss together then let sit for 5 minutes and toss again⁣ • serve. As it sits it will breakdown and absorb more of the flavors
