Article in the Wall Street journal today. Anyone have a spare $75 mil and want to save this pristine coastline? I feel powerless compared to that kind of money, but I also feel very strongly that the authenticity of Hāna should be preserved. If this land is developed and becomes the vacation homes of billionaires, what will that look like for our community? Will property taxes and rent soar so high that locals will be driven out of town? I sincerely hope not. Maybe this will have a positive effect on our community, and whoever purchases Hāna ranch will have the integrity to act responsibly, and show Aloha for Hāna residents. Even if it’s a tiny chance that this post reaches someone who may be able to help make that happen I figure it’s worth it...
