KALEIDOSCOPE is pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Houston-based artist Mark Flood (b. 1957), curated by @alessio_ascari and presented in collaboration with @alyxstudio, opening on 13 January at @spaziomaiocchi (8–10pm). Over his decades-long career, Flood has developed a body of work that incorporates the detritus of contemporary culture—slogans, celebrities, and memes—to mock American society and the art world. Featuring the artist’s trademark motifs—pixelated logos, irreverent catchphrases, and meticulously-rendered lace panoramas—the exhibition will also provide the setting for the runway presentation of the 1017 ALYX 9SM Fall/Winter 2023 collection. On the occasion of the opening, KALEIDOSCOPE will release Flood’s limited-edition cover of the current FW22 issue. With the support of @peresprojects.
