It was almost 12 am when I took my laundry to a 24hrs laundromat near Kosciuszko st in the Bushwick area, Brooklyn. I head outside the store to find a breather while waiting for my dryer to finish its 21 mins cycle. The weather was around 12 celsius with medium layers of fog. Only 1 or 2 cars passed every green light turn and the street was definitely quiet, that night I could only hear faint NYPD sirens in a distance. The dark empty night and glaring street lights could've offered me a somber and suspenseful vibe.
