Caring. Crying with us. Laughing at our dark humor. Doing funny reels with us. Letting us send you late night memes. Waiting in those waiting rooms. Drinking waiting room coffee, with your heart heavy and full of anxiety. You’ve paced floors for us. Held doors for us. Gave us meds and hugs. Propped our pillows. Helped heal our burns. Lifted up the heavy things, from refrigerator doors after surgery, to the deep sobs of our hearts. Caregivers, YOU ARE OUR HEROES. The ones who feel alone at times. The ones who cry silently for themselves because of all we are going through, But, YOU are ALSO going through it too. You hold in your fears, to make space for ours. You hold in your tears, to make space for ours, SO, Today we make space for YOURS. Every laundry basket washed, floor swept, food made, children held, bandage changed, drain emptied, hand held, This month especially we honor you. We THANK YOU. DEEPLY.
