How to make @jensplantbase’s Vegan Fried Chick’n Drumsticks - made with king oyster mushrooms and perfect to bring to the next sunday dinner.💛 Using faux bones for the drumstick bone but you can also use spiced sugar cane or the center part of a corn on cob. 🌱 5-6 king oyster mushrooms/ portobello mushrooms 🌱 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 🌱 1 tsp sage 🌱 1 tbsp all purpose seasoning 🌱 Oil for frying Dry mix: 🌱 11⁄2 cups spelt flour (can also use plain flour) 🌱 1⁄2 cup corn flour 🌱 1 tbsp all-purpose seasoning 🌱 1 tsp paprika 🌱 1 tbsp mixed herbs 🌱 1 tbsp chili powder 🌱 1⁄2 tsp salt Wet mix: 🌱 1⁄2 cup plant milk 🌱 1-1 tbsp dry mix Boil the mushrooms in the sage, all purpose seasoning and nutritional yeast for about 10mins. Make sure to fully dry the mushrooms after boiling to make it easier to wrap it. You can also use cocktail sticks to keep it in place.
