Fallen Dancer πŸ’™ Disclaimer: This is a very advanced pose and should only be attempted if your body is ready. Prepare the body with shoulder openers, spinal mobility and hip flexor stretches. If you can do a flip grip dancer (with or without a strap), this pose can be accessible. The first step, from a belly down position, is to grab the foot 🦢🏻 you’ll be extending in the direction of over-head with your hand or a strap. Use your back leg for stability and grab the foot or strap with the second hand. One of the most challenging aspects of this pose is to stay centered. Gently pull the leg forward with equal force with both arms. This will help with stability. Play around with variations - bringing elbows to the ground or lifting the arms, maybe even extending the arms over head. Extending the back leg straight allows me to pull my top leg further forward. πŸ’™ These dock days are my favorite. I’m not ready for fall! Moving through fallen dancers in @aloyoga x @tropicofc πŸ’™ Video and image captured by the talented @totalsoulfuljourney πŸ’™πŸ™πŸ» Cinematic mode on the new iPhone is cool but also kind of strange how it blurs - anyone else notice that? #yogareel #howto #fallendancer #natarajasana #flexible #fit #igreel #trending #summeryoga #womenshealth #antiaging #agingbackwards
