this last year, i know i've been talking a lot about web3 & my experimentation with new tools and technology. i haven't gotten as much into the "why". my goal as an artist has always been to create what i want and release what i create in my own way. i want freedom and autonomy so that you always get my full vision, unedited. i started my career by embracing change. as culture and technology have shifted, the tools and platforms that allowed me to build independently no longer serve me. i'm forced to adapt what i create and how i naturally connect to satiate an algorithm that decides who listens to my music and who sees what i post or die. i’m sharing this with you to give an insight into where my head has been at. i’m going to build in this world because it’s creating a foundation for me to grow and create. and because it challenges me and my mind. basically, web3 is allowing me to continue my career without having to become a “content creator” that dances on tiktok. i’m too depressed for that shit and i have an album to write. i love you all forever. full piece is in my stories xx.
