less is more. #JSP #DDD Dozens on dozens of great athletes later, I find that the beauty of this profession lies in the days where deconstruction is fully present, and the session almost seems “boring” but productive. Re-teaching little intricacies to elite athletes in ways that they never thought of, or maybe in ways that enhance their preconceived notions of their own movements is what makes this all worth my while. In my studies of biomechanics and motor learning, academically and professionally, the “one size fits all” mindset can definitely become present. Welcoming all movement and realizing there is not just one way to complete a task is vital in the growth of both my athletes and my own research. Forever blessed to be in the position I am in.
