This project has a special place in my heart. The last picture was taken a little over a year ago at adidas HQ, in the middle of FW22 Forum Women’s sample reviews. It looks like I’m sad, but I was just tired ahaha. This moment was the first tangible sign of progress out of a situation born from frustration, when I was first confronted with the reality of not being able to get any of the Forum 84 low/hi in my size. (Reason being, sometimes production volumes of smaller sizes for the so-coded Unisex models are less, which explains why they always sold out so fast e.g. see Forum 84 Hi Blue Thread 2021). So while having the privilege to work on Forum Women’s together with @blank_____blank_____ , we embarked on a mission: to make the OG version of Forum, the “84”, available to more women. After long back-and-forth WhatsApp conversations, countless alignment meetings with the team and late-night calls (cos, rebels!), the shoes are finally hitting the stores. The excitement is unreal ⚡️Head over to my reels for the rest of Forum 84s Women’s highlights :) Inspired by the OG Forum from 1984, the colors stay true to that vintage blocking, while the upper boasts a mix of white/cream leather and full grain leather base with yellowed edges. It’s giving true retro. How do I explain - the quality of this classic silo is unmatched!!
