Ive been flooding the feed with bold eyeshadows lately, so let’s slow it down and take a minute to admire this ethereal beauty from @anastasiabeverlyhills! ⁣ ⁣ I’m not going to lie to y’all, when the Nouveau palette released, the color story just didn’t speak to me. The pale, subdued colors just didn’t do it for me and it kind of seemed like an unorganized, mish-mash of colors in one palette. Not into it, definitely going to pass on this one. ⁣ ⁣ Fast forward to me being offered the opportunity to review it for @bzzagent and of course I accepted. You don’t just say no to an ABH palette! But y’all I’m the first to admit when I’m wrong and I was WRONG wrong about this one...she is a stunner! ⁣ ⁣ First off I will say that photos don’t do it justice...like at all! She is far prettier in person than any pic or video I’ve seen. Second is that the textures of these shades are divine! Every single shade is like butter. There’s seriously not a dud in the bunch. The only thing that I can say negative (and it’s really not negative) is that I wish they’d have included a deeper matte shade to anchor the palette. The darkest shade in the palette (Muse) is a bronze-y brown shimmer and I’m just not going to use that to deepen my outer corner. We could have swapped out either Belle or Hope for a matte dark brown, green or even plum and had everything needed for a day to night look. ⁣ ⁣ All that said, I’m still not mad about it. I can pull that shade elsewhere if need be. It would just have been nice to have it with the rest of these pretty shades! ⁣ ⁣ Swipe for swatches! ⁣ ⁣ If you are a neutral girl that wants to tiptoe into color or if you just want to live your best ethereal wood nymph life, this palette is a great way to do it! I think I’m going to be reaching for it constantly this fall! ⁣ ⁣ Thank you SO much to BzzAgent and ABH for the generous gift and reminding me to not judge a book by its cover!
