Hi to 10k+ of you 🤍🥹 Thank you for being here and loving the recipes I share. I started this page to celebrate culture through food, especially Haitian cuisine, and I wanted to officially introduce myself:
• My name is Taina & I’m Haitian/Jamaican American though most of my inspiration comes from my mom and my Haitian roots.
• I lived in Haiti from ages 2–5 and speak fluent Creole — Bonswa to all my Haitian fam 🤎
• I spent majority of my life in Boston, though now I’m living in the DMV with my husband and our golden doodle.
• When I’m not cooking, I’m traveling (and eating lol). Right now my favorite place is the South of France, especially Cannes.
• My husband and I got married in Tuscany this past September, and that trip pushed me to cook more “from scratch” and focus on fresh ingredients. Counting the days until we go back!
• In 2022, I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and currently work with the geriatric population, seeing everything from falls to strokes to TBI.
I’m SO excited to keep sharing Haitian flavors and the foods of all the cultures that make me, me. Hope you stick around for more 🤍✨
