As a type A person who loves routine and structure, pregnancy really said “nope” and forced me to slow way down. Most days I had no choice but to shut off completely — naps at 11am, snacks at 3am, and basically becoming best friends with my couch. The exhaustion was REAL. But even in the tougher weeks, the joy of knowing our dream baby was growing made everything else feel so small. Every wave of nausea, every craving, every canceled plan was just a reminder of the little life we were building. It’s crazy to look back and realize how much these months have already changed me — stretched me, softened me, and filled me with the most excitement I’ve ever felt. Here’s to trimester one and all the memories (and food) that came with it. And shout out to Postmates, my bed, and my husband for being the greatest caretakers... and my only social interaction.
