I’m still in awe, ya’ll. I know I’ll have more words to share later, but today I just want to say, thank you.🥹 When I got the email from Victoria Secret, I had an array of emotions, as you would assume! I had loads of questions and they were all met by such openness and honesty that it made me realize that THIS is the way change is made.... REAL CHANGE. Change IS that a breast-less woman with almost 30 scars on her body from 12 surgeries can partner with a company who is determined to change the old narrative of what beauty and strength look like. I’m proud of myself. I don’t say that hardly ever. But I am. Go watch the FULL YouTube video and post on @victoriassecret ! I SOBBED throughout, but the end of that video did me in. I brought YOU, my incredible breastie community right in that room with me, into every meeting. I ALWAYS bring my babies in there too— my reasons for everything I do.😭 I’m proud to share my breast cancer journey with women all over the world in partnership with Victoria’s Secret. I hope my story reminds all women who are affected by breast cancer that they are not alone throughout this journey. As I join VS’s mission to empower and advocate for women, I encourage everyone to learn about the importance of spreading awareness AND ACTION, the incredible work that can be done to combat breast cancer, and the immense benefits of early detection.
